As a mom who loves hosting birthday parties for my kids at home, having a checklist is like my secret weapon for an organized, stress-free and enjoyable party. With the amount of planning involved, it can be easy to forget simple must have items…like when I forget to buy candles for my 5 year old’s cake 😳
Having a checklist helps break everything down in an easy to follow list. From decorations to entertainment to food, a checklist allows you to tackle all party aspects without feeling overwhelmed.
Honestly, having a checklist also helps me stay on budget. Without have a clear plan and organized approach, it is easy to overbuy and overspend on adorable decorations and party favors. I was guilty of this when drawn to the adorable princess balloons and streamers for my daughters 7th birthday. I ended up with more decorations than I could fit in our small space…and a lot less to spend on the food and goodies that the kids actually wanted! Lesson learned the hard way…
